Talk to your doctor or a bona fide nutritionist. Not good to take chances with that sort of thing by asking strangers on an open forum.

maybe you can try Macrobioics. there is a book written by MIchio Kushi. It should help, because it is a diet based on whole grain weets, and your body digest it in the equal speed, so your body gets enough and equal amount of sugar during a longer pediod time.
Good luck and feel better

Most hospitals have a class for diabtetics to learn diet and care techniques. They cover eating carbs responsibly, care of your feet and other much needed info. You should look into it.

I also had that problem but the doctor gave me a pamphlet with all the things I could eat. He told me to keep a packet of peanut butter crackers in my car in-case my sugar got low.

I have hypogycemia as well.

When I found out about this, I didn't believe it. It took Me getting to a place where I literally crawled into the kitchen and had to eat sugar right out of the canister to get My sugar back on tract. I then realized My eating habits HAD to change.

I did some studying and found out that potatoes and peas carry a major amount of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates turn to sugar in the blood stream. Meaning that one with Hypoglycemia the insuline levels will over take the hightened sugars and over produce the insuline to knock it back down. Sugar Spell.

What I began doing, and I have lost 75 lbs doing this, Was go to the store and get Ritz crackers. Even the store brand will work. Every two hours eat a few crackers. They will fill your stomach to the point where when you eat your meals you dont eat as much. I began walking 1 to 2 miles a day. Easy walking not pushing it..just plain old walking. Of course I started off slow. .5 of a mile at first and then more and more as I felt My body could take it. This is extremely simple. No counting, no nothing, but for ME it worked. I ate My meals in moderation, Didnt really pay attention to what exactly I ate, but knew to stay away from certian foods, and avoided those certian foods. Replacing it with things like peanut butter and protiens. Like I said I have lost 75 lbs, and am still losing. You want your weight loss to go slow. It's most healthy. Also remember, that at first your weight might drop quickly and then suddenly stop. Do not fear. Your body is turning your weight into muscle, and since muscle weighs more than fat, the weight is equalling out. Soon you'll find your losing again. You've been losing all along, just your body readjusting what it has to work with.

I hope I have helped.
