Hello, My age is 15.5 and im 5 ft 3 and i weight 135.5 pounds. I want to start a healthy diet for me so i did some research on how to lose body fat. 1st question, for me, whats the least amount of calories i should eat per day? I plan to eat small 5-6 meals a day. drinks lots of water and go for maybe an hour worth of biking a day. But, what do i eat? I herd that carbs arnt good for you, that its easy body fat to build on. so how much carbs shuld i eat per day to be healthy and what kinds of carb foods are good and not bad. And that eating meat and no bread or grains will make u lose body fat… ya im confused and want to do this healthy. What should i eat for breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack? thats can be about 1200 cals? and i herd that the no bread, go meat diet can make u lose from 2 to 3 pounds week alone? and i was going for maybe 2.5 to 3 pounds per week.so thnx for any help at all! and any tips too. =D

why do people feel the need to splurge money on fad diets?

why cant they take the situation into their own hands. im overweight at 78kg and 166cm tall and ive realised i cant keep going on like this or i will be in trouble with my health very soon. so instead of turning to protein shakes, lite n easy, celebrity slim diets and other fads, i decided to lose weight the old fashioned and best way. ive cut down a lot on my fast food intake and the help of many websites helped me determined the amount of calories i should be eating per day to lose weight. ive been watching what foods i put in my stomach, how many kj are in them, drinking lots of water as well as exercising 3 times a week for a 40min jog. ive tried losing weight many many times before and ive just gotten lazy without seeing results but i never once tried the diets available at phamarcies because i believe with enough motivation, u can do it urself. anyway, this morning i ate cottage cheese and scrambled eggs, lunch was home made vegetable lasagne and snack on my break was yes believe it or not, kfc gravy, chips and bread rolls and dinner was low fat soup and rice. its been about less than one week and ive already lost 3kg. which is why i dont feel why ppl would need to spend so much money on diets that will never work when the old fashioned way is always the way to go =]

I am training someone to run, what is the diet of a runner?
We are putting in around 50 miles a week. I know diet is important but I don’t know how or what one should eat? I am afraid this is my weak link and I need help. Running these miles leave very little time for any thing but running, eating and sleeping. I think diet might make a difference and open up more time for other things. Where can I go to find the proper diet, amount of calories , and what foods to eat?

weight loss?

okay, so I know almost everything there is to know about losing weight effectively. I love to give advice to people on how to lose weight. Am I in good shape? Hellz no! I am 50 lbs overweight and 21 years old in college. I know all this stuff about losing weight, yet I cannot apply to myself. Why am I not strong enough to do this? I can barely resist eating. I love food so much. Taco bell, pizza, quesadillas, hot pockets, cola, the list goes on. I am addicted to food, I eat when I'm not hungry because I crave the taste of it. I have asked for the strength to resist these temptations but to no avail. It seems hopeless that I will ever be average weight. I dont' need weight loss advice per se…I need ways to become strong enough to resist my strongest temptations…any suggestions?
I should mention that I do get up off my butt and try to stay active, I'm not that lazy, it's just that the amount of calories I am able to consumer is far more I can burn off at my activity level, in the shape I am in, I can't do extremely heavy workouts, in fact running hurts my legs, any kind of weight training will deal a lot of pain, right now, I basically try to walk a lot, because it's basicall what I can do right now without noticing bad side effects.
