I found this tip from Oprah to be quite helpful: "If the food is white, do not eat it"….this includes sugar, bread, potatoes and rice. Cut these out and you will lose weight! Also, plenty of fruits and vegetables and less meat. Congratulations on healing your eating disorder…as a recovering bulemic I know it isn’t an easy thing to do! Good luck to you!
Healthy food means things like plenty of veggies and fruit. Salads are wonderful diet food. The best thing about eating them is that you can eat larger quantities of them than junk food and still not gain weight. You need the protein in meat and dairy, but less than you are probably eating now. 4 oz. is a good size serving of meat. Fish is good too and has the good kind of cholesterol.
Cardio exercise will help you to lose weight. Anything from just walking to aerobic workouts in the gym will do. Good luck and be careful. I hope you get to do all the things you listed – including the mountain…
You should log in to http://www.sparkpeople.com. You will find all you need there: the tools to lose the weight, fitness workouts and the support from members to keep you motivated. It’ s free and it will teach you what to eat considering what your body needs taking into consideration your weight and height. Good luck! PS: and throwing up is a sign of bulimia – anorexia means not eating at all and still thinking you’re fat.
And about that coffee – it’s not good for your liver, for your bones… The point is that when you are trying to lose weight you should let your body detox and that’s what the liver does so…You should replace your coffee with a cup of green tea – it will keep you slim, burning fat and energetic.
