Easy diet/exercise tips to follow on a daily basis ?

Hi! im 19 yrs old .
short (5′0) and over weight, I want to lose about 50 – 60 lbs.
I need easy diet/exercise tips to follow. I go to the gym with friends sometimes but I don’t have a membership so i basically have to exercise at home .

    You need to eat a healthy calorie controlled diet of around 1500 calories per day. You should eat regular small meals (about 5 meals of 300 calories each) during the day and drink 8 glasses of water. You should cut out any junk food and eat foods like fruit and veg, fresh fish, lean meats and complex carbs. In addition you should exercise for around 40 minutes every day doing different types of cardio such as aerobics, dancing, running, swimming, playing sports or going to the gym. If you are exercising from home then buying something like the P90X would be a good idea and a good way if losing weight and toning up as well. To tone and build muscle which will boost your metabolism you need to do some strength training like push ups, crunches, hip lifts, side bends, russian twists,lunges and squats. A good rate to lose weight at is 1-2 pounds per week.
