    20 pounds in a month is a lot to ask of your body. 10 is pushing it..

    However, if you eat a well-balanced diet, get cardio 3x a week, and strength train, you can *look* like you’ve lost the 20 pounds, even if the scale only shows 10. Toning up your muscles and giving them definition will make you look like you weigh less than you actually do.

    No secrets, really – just diet and exercise (and plenty of water). The only proven way to keep it off long-term.

    I dont know what your doing now but if you want to lose that much weight that quick any diet secret you try will most likely be water weight your losing. There is a lot of controversy with the atkins diet but it worked for me although I am not currently using that method because I’m not into eating that much meat anymore which you do eat a lot of. Make sure you follow all the rules strictly.

    It’s not really healthy to lose 20 pounds in a month. But the good news is that you can look better, and you can lose 20 pounds in a few months, and enjoy it for the rest of the year.

    Some tips:
    - eat lots of vegetables, especially those that are not sweet – broccoli, celery, spinach, and lettuce are great.
    - except for those vegetables, keep your portions small. Stop before you feel full. You don’t want to starve yourself, but you SHOULD be a little hungry an hour before your next meal.
    - move a lot. Walking is great exercise, and if you can do that 30 min every day it will make a bigger difference than you realize.
    - if you have access to a Pilates class, toning your core muscles will make a big difference in your appearance.
    - join a support group to stay motivated.
